Tennis Grand Slams

For the players the Tennis Grand Slams is what the season is all about. Similar to the Golf season, it all revolves around the Majors. The season starts off down under with the Australian Open and then move back to Europe for the French Open and Wimbledon and finally in late summer the US Open.

Australian Open

The Australian Open serves up the first Grand Slam of the season. In recent seasons a number of the matches have been played under the roof as the temperatures have been far to severe for the players. The hard court service is another feature of this event that favours certain types of players.

French Open

Roland Gaross stages the second Grand Slam of the season and the Red Clay plays an important factor in deciding the winners of this event, with Nadal a firm favourite on this surface every year. Our dedicated French Open Tennis site provides all the latest news for this feature event.

Wimbledon

The two weeks at the London venue is the highlight of the season and the summer in the UK. Grass is the surface and it is today such a novel surface to play on and ensures a much more entertaining competition for spectators and players alike. Roger Federer has proved his metal at the Wimbledon Championship but Nadal now seems to be mastering it also.

US Open

The final Grand Slam is the US Open Tennis Championship staged in New York. It is the final chance for the players to win a feature tournament for the season. With all our Tennis sites we like to offer our visitors information on the players, seeds, fixtures and results of the matches.
