We're looking for a passionate horse racing fan to work across our social media accounts.

In this role you are responsible for content creation for’s Social Media output. You’ll be tasked with multiple roles but are expected to be able to deliver content on channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

Working with the Group Planning Manager and the Racing Manager, the Social Executive is expected to fully understand the company’s vision and carry this out through the Social Media Strategy for

The successful candidate needs to be passionate about Horse Racing and thus covering the sport will require weekend work.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Social Strategy and Performance - Growth, engagement KPI’s, social revenue and traffic stream will be measured through the following:

  • Carrying out the social strategy
  • Delivering the commercial strategy
  • Carrying out daily processes, completing the plan, daily jobs, creative ideas.
  • Creating quality social content - content that drives views, engagement, traffic to site and sign-ups
  • Implementing and communicating company Brand TOV
  • Proactively recommending activity that leads to commercial income
  • Working with the content team to generate traffic to site
  • Consideration of Audience & Commercial Growth at all times

Key Objectives

  • Ensure company vision and TOV runs through social
  • Hit quarterly OKRs
  • Secure revenue through betting links on social and other areas where appropriate
  • Generate traffic back to site through social channels

In this role you are responsible for editing and content managing a ‘new to market’ betting website brought to you by one of the leading sports betting affiliate groups.

Organising a team of writers devoted to providing the best betting content related to real-time sports events and making sure that all aspects of the site are up to date and providing the user with the best calls to action.

Utilising your experience you will be an important part of the team to deliver the best betting content experience beyond just the pre-event odds.

As a true betting enthusiast, you will live and breathe the bet, including an awareness of the sports calendar and the different types of betting markets and promotions that engage sports bettors.

You will also work in collaboration with other departments across the company to help implement the best packaging of editorial and calls to action on the Moneta portfolio, ensuring that the brand is at the cutting edge of delivering the best sports fan experience

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Working with the COO and Betting Coordinator to manage the content that appears on-site, set to content forecasts and growing the unique views on the site and social:

  • Work closely with the COO and freelance editorial team to ensure that the content contributes meaningful traffic but also takes on a life of its own as shareable content across platforms.
  • Spark ideas, enthusiasm and energy to help "own" and shape the editorial voice of the portfolio going forward.
  • Identify and plan coverage for current and future sports and culture events/moments accordingly with the content plan; Emanate quality news insight in deciding what trending/O+O content should be produced.
  • Working with the Group Planning Manager with the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of Moneta’s betting content, in keeping with the brand’s personality and tone of voice.
  • Working with the Commercial Manager to devise and activate campaigns in partnership with the company’s bookmaker clients.
  • Writing and publishing editorial content, both individually and overseeing the delegation of this process to the wider team of freelancers.
  • Ensure quality control grammatically on-site and tone of voice.
  • Work closely with the sister sites to create more involved features and contributions to planned-event coverage.
  • Sustain and grow cross channel views on-site and Twitter and Facebook.
  • Have an interest in the wider media market, keeping abreast of new innovations that could be relevant to the business and our partners.
  • Good understanding of the digital media editorial landscape.
  • Work with the COO in new product development initiatives and any SEO enhancements for the site.
  • Develop and lead the website’s key point)s) of difference in the market
  • Become the brand ambassador for the site and a future PR and sponsorship opportunities.

  • Strong nuts-and-bolts knowledge of how content works on major publishing platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google News and SEO.
  • A proven track record in growing a digital audience and creating interesting, engaging and shareable content for a digital publisher.
